What roller diameter I should choose?
Last Updated: 04/07/2007
Determine the value of the bend radius:

Bend Radius:  Consult the manufacture of your material for the minimum bend radius.  Bend radius is defined as the smallest radius the web can travel over without damage to the material.  For example, some pressure sensitive labels may peel off of their liner if too small of a radius is used.  Don’t forget, once bend radius is determined, multiple by at least two to get minimum diameter.

Determine maximum allowable deflection based upon diameter and wall thickness

Choose the greater of the diameters.
